1) Fish Camp Chowder from Dry Dock Restaurant
Dry Dock Restaurant's great restaurant is located on the south end of Longboat Key. I always order the tomato-based fish camp chowder when I eat there. If you like water views while you eat you should definitely dine here.
2) Hamburger from Patrick's
Patrick's is a popular lunch destination. Located in the center of downtown Sarasota this is a great place to grab a hamburger. The mushroom burger is my particular favorite but there are plenty of them to choose from.
3) Hamburger and fries at the Hob Nob Drive-In
Hob Nob drive-in is not a fancy place to eat. In fact, you pretty much have to sit on a bench outside (it is covered). However, this is still a fun place to eat and very popular among locals.
4) Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich from Cargioulos
This is a great Italian restaurant in downtown Sarasota on Palm Avenue. It is filled with old New York movie memorabilia. The chicken parmigiana sandwich is very tasty.
5) Eggs and Potatoe breakfast from Yoders
I love breakfast at Yoder's. This restaurant is located in the Amish neighborhood of Pinecraft. The eggs and potatoes breakfast is fresh and very delicious. This place is also known for the homemade pies.
6) Enchilada Suiza and Taco from Mi Pueblo
Mi Pueblo Restaurant is a really good Mexican food. The enchilada Suiza and taco combination is a good one. It might be fattening but it sure is tasty
7) Sushi from Pacific Rim
This is a happening spot in Sarasota. Located on Hillview Avenue this is a fun place to eat. The sushi is good too.
8) Table dining at Da Ru Ma
The is another popular restaurant in Sarasota. The table dining is a fun experience is any of the meals you order here are good. They also serve sushi here.
9) Gyro Salad from El Greco
Yummy. This is a very large salad with a good chance that you might not eat it all. The gyro salad is very good here amongst many other dishes. It is also very affordable.
10) 1905 Salad from Columbia
Most Sarasota residents have heard of the famous 1905 Salad from the Columbia restaurant. Vacationers also make a point to eat at Columbia to get a taste of this great salad.
